Doc Martens Improved Image I've just made!!

These are images I've created of my Doc Martens, this afternoon {on Adobe Fireworks}..I got them for my birthday, which was exactly two weeks ago:O! Wooaah! I can't believe the weeks have flown that quickly..that I've turned 20 officially!. Well originally I did buy the purple patent ones off the Schuh website for £85. The staff online were sooo helpful..though I was a little sceptical of buying them at first, because I wanted them to match all my outfits, and wear them around the office..anyways I went ahead and purchased them.
The delivery was super fast, I was excited to open the box!..I couldn't wait to try them on..I did realise though that when I did try them on..the leather was very hard on my ankle, but tried to not make a fuss. As I knew this was very common for Doc Martens. I was kinda shocked how the purple was a whole lot brighter and shinier than in the images on the site, I did really like them but I did way up my options whether to stick with them or see what-else there was.I like the fact, that you have a whole year..to take back a pair of shoes, you have purchased from Schuh..if they are in a suitable not worn-condition!
The next day, I took them back,,I'm still sad thinking about it..but I thought maybe if I had more outfits that would match the bold purple..I'd keep them plus it was alot of money to fork out on. I'm sure I can buy them again in the near future.. what this space______!when I know it's a definite decision.

I roamed some shops after looking, in the Liverpool Schuh store, to discover a place not far from there, also sold genuine Doc Martens, I had a little browse around the wacky store:P! to discover they had black non-patent Doc Martens in my size:D! and to hear they were only £65..I was over the moon, and couldn't let an opportunity like that pass me by:)! The place is pwetty awesame! It has many little individual boutique type shops that are just soo sooo unique and are likely to sell one of each item:P!, There's a little bit of everythang for everyone..It is mainly known though for punks, and goths to shop there..However, I do hate labelling people:(!

What do you think of Doc Martens?! Do you own a pair yourself..What outfits do you wear with them?! Would you sport a pair?!

Pounds add up!

After watching Loose Women yesterday afternoon, I learnt that Arlene Phillips {who was a judge on 'strictly come dancing'},is living off one pound a day don't worry this isn't a new celebrity fad diet.She is doing it for a charity called 'Malaria No More UK'. You are probably wondering why she has chose to do this. Well she believes it is because she feels that today's world suffers with extreme poverty, inequality and unfairness.
'Live Below the Line' is an initiative of the Global Poverty Project, an education and campaigning organisation whose mission is to increase the number and effectiveness of people taking action against extreme poverty.
I suppose in a way, it is also like a experiment to see how little food you can have and still survive.
She has decided to have the following foods for this week which include Rice,carrots, cabbage soup, eggs, for one week. Below is her ingredients in more detail. To see her progress check it out here

2 Eggs = 40p
3 Lemons = 45p
3 Carrots = 15p
Cabbage = 58p
Porridge = 70p
Rice Cakes = 50p
Marmite = 24p
Honey = 18p
Pasta Sauce = 35p
Baked Beans = 35p
Rice = 20p
Bunny Lollies = 15p
Apples = 50p
Stock Cubes = 20p
Fresh Mint = Free from garden.
= £4.95 (99p for each of the 5 days)
(Saving 5p for a Friday treat!)
This story appealed to me also because me and Fluxxy Tux are living like this. It's a whole turn around and has made me acknowledge now that half the food, we have bought in the past, was not necessary, they weren't essentials. I can admit I did used to go overboard with treats.
We are sharing £25 which has to last us ten days. We are already into day three. We have £10 left to last us a further 7 days.

I have just come back from our daily shop. This is what I have bought on my behalf to try and last us, for upto a further three days. I am finding our budget hard to stick to! I couldn't believe I said to Fluxxy Tux before while in a low-priced supermarket we went to ' is too expensive to cater for our budget.' That is as a result, to why I have slightly over spent. All I'm saying is I know it's been hard, but surely it just has to get better now.

My Food List
Fluxxy’s Food List
1 bag of potato wedges {we will share}= £1.00

1 Quorn Tikka Masala = £1.00

2 Hovis loaves {which we will share} = £1.50

1 curry sauce and chips meal = 99p

2 tins of baked beans {which we will share} = 56p

1 box of tomato and basil soups containing 3 sachets {we will share} = 59p

Mandarin segments {which we will share} = 42p
Deep pan pepperoni pizza = 99p

Hot dog sausages = 49p

My Treats:-

Milk chocolate digestives = 59p

Luxurious Chocolate dessert mousse = 39p

1 38g bag of golden wonder BBQ crisps = 49p
Fluxxy’s Treats:-
2 packets of custard creams = 54p
Strawberry wholegrain yoghurt = 89p

Total cost = £7.53
Total cost = £2.91
Altogether our shopping came up to £10.44

That works out to be £1.74 a day!

Below is a picture of the type of meals we have ate from day one. This is beans and buttered mushrooms with a spicy kick to it on toast! I have to say it defiantly got my taste buds wanting more!
